Perform an Eviction on the Xbox Game Bar

Put yourself in the shoes of your typical I.T. helpdesk client for a second.

You sit down at work and log in to your computer one morning and get presented with this super scary gunmetal gray hacker display with gauges and charts and abbreviated numbers - it looks like Vladimir Putin himself put it there!

You can't click out! You can't get to your desktop! There is no immediate prompt that says "Press Windows Key + G idiot, because that totally makes any sense!" As if you'd even know that was an option! Nothing. Nowhere. Your desktop is locked up, and you are locked out!

And you PANIC! You've been hearing about ransomware on the news! Your work has been making you take mandatory training courses! You think to yourself "Oh my God, I am going to LOSE MY FUCKING JOB OVER THIS!"

And so you make the natural next move of calling I.T. with big wet tears in your eyes, and you beg them to make the virus go away.

Are you an I.T. director? Does this scenario sound familiar to you?

Anyways, do yourself a favor and use the Powershell script below to send the game bar packing. Because Microsoft blurred out the uninstall button. They didn't hide it. They blurred it out. What a vulgar gesture!
